Kim Kardashian has been well known ever since the sex tape that she did with Ray J. Audiences have been fascinated by her, giving E! huge ratings for the television shows in which Kim and her family starred. Another source of great ratings for the network was the wedding that has now become infamous. Kim’s marriage to pro basketball player Kris Humphries lasted all of 72 days. This has shocked many of her fans and has caused many to consider the sanctity with which marriage is approached. However, it has been rumored that the wedding was no more than a publicity stunt and that the marriage was doomed from the very beginning. This rumor has served to anger both Kardashian fans and enemies. Her fans are disappointed at her seemingly lack of morality, considering the fact that some people look up to her. Her enemies, already scoffing at Kim’s moral standards, are angered at the negative influence that she seems to have over the morality of society at large. To them, the very fact that her fame grow because of a sex tape only goes to prove that she should never have been considered a role model to begin with.

E! expressed shock at the shortness of the marriage and deny any knowledge of it being a publicity stunt. In fact, they had to juggle with when the wedding should actually be viewed in light of the fact that the end of the relationship was already clearly in view. However, Kim’s ex-publicist, Jonathan Jaxson, was not at all surprised at these events and stated that he is confident the marriage was a sham to begin with. He recalls many instances when Kim and the rest of the Kardashian crew did things just to get the attention of the press. According to Jaxson, the marriage was just another one of Kim’s cries for attention. Obviously, the plan worked very well. The failed marriage has been the highlighted topic of most media forums since the news first broke out. Supposedly, bad publicity is better than no publicity at all. Kim has responded to his accusations with a lawsuit.
However, Kim, with her family to support her, claims that neither the marriage nor the divorce was a ploy to get more attention from the media. She holds the claim that the marriage was real and states that the divorce is due to the fact that she discovered her hubby only married her to get more fame for himself. According to Kim, Kris Humphries was never really in love with her; a fact that she found out soon after they got married.
Kim, however, did not seem to go through too much heartbreak over her failed marriage but quickly went on to promote her new show in Australia, leaving her wedding band behind. Appearing as her usual confident and happy self, Kim Kardashian has showed no remorse at all. Rather or not the marriage was real or a hoax has yet to be firmly determined. There is a lot of speculation and many sides to the story. Watch the Sex tape Here!
